How to join FANZ
Welcome!
We want to make joining FANZ as straightforward as possible while still upholding our standards. We are here to help – please get in touch on admin@franchise.org.nz if you have any questions on the process or need clarification around which category you fit into.
Accredited Franchisor Members

Download and review the Code of Practice and Ethics document, the FANZ Constitution, the Disclosure Document template and the Accredited Franchisor Member Application Form.

With your legal advisor, review all your documentation to ensure your franchise system complies with FANZ’s Code of Practice and Ethics. This includes completion of your Disclosure Document.

Fill in the Application Form.

Submit all documentation to FANZ by emailing admin@franchise.org.nz and pay your $220 + GST application fee (non-refundable). FANZ will invoice you for your one-off application fee upon submission of your application.

Once the application is complete, it is submitted to the FANZ Independent Scrutineer for review. The Scrutineer will ensure your documents’ compliance with the Code of Practice and Ethics and will guide you through any changes if these need to be made.

Once finalised, your membership application will then be reviewed by the FANZ Board, and you will be notified of the outcome.

Once approved, you will then be officially welcomed to FANZ!
Advisor/Supplier and Individual Members
1. Download the relevant Application Form (Advisor/Supplier Member or Individual Member).
2. Fill in the Application Form and pull together any necessary supporting documentation.
3. Submit all documentation to FANZ by emailing admin@franchise.org.nz and pay your $220 + GST application fee (non-refundable). FANZ will invoice you for your one-off application fee upon submission of your application.
4. Respond to any questions from the administration team or FANZ independent scrutineer.
5. Once finalised, your membership application will then be reviewed by the FANZ Board, and you will be notified of the outcome.
6. Once approved, you will then be officially welcomed to FANZ!
Credibility and networking with other franchisors are incredibly valuable. The franchise sector is very supportive and there is significant sharing of ideas and information – more so than any other association or environments I have been involved with.
